Summary: We aren't real estate brokers. Wooded land is sold here the old fashioned way just as it has been for over a century - residential, commercial property, and "acreage" or large tracts. We also deal in severed minerals. Plateau Properties has offerings in six Tennessee counties on the Cumberland Plateau: Cumberland, Morgan, Fentress, Putnam, White, and Scott.

Land has been traded in the house on Main Street for over a century. This is a land office in the old fashioned sense -- not a brokerage. We sell land, not houses. You visit and tell us what you want. We give you a current listing of what we have available including price, terms, and a map. You go by yourself to look at the property. No pressure. No haggling. If you like it, a little money down will usually do it. We do the financing. Since the property is its own collateral, there's no wait for credit approval.
We also sell commercial property, large tracts, and we deal in severed minerals. We have offerings in six counties: Cumberland, Morgan, Fentress, Putnam, White, and Scott.
In our century, the staff changed, of course, as did the business structure and the name over the door. But it has been in this form and under this name since 1960.
We are prepared to help you if you are seeking solitude or solid investment. Need an upscale commercial building site on interstate I-40 for a business? You can live in the very nice residential area behind it (RidgeView). We rarely have houses, cabins, or rentals, but we know who does. E-mail or call for general information about our area.
TRY IT ON FOR A VACATION
The Cumberland Plateau is a great place to live, and Cumberland County attracts plenty of vacationers who end up making it a permanent address. (Vacation ideas anyone?) There are pristine streams for fishing and whitewater sports, and plenty of untouched wilderness for hiking. But there are also resorts and golf courses (an embarrassment of riches, perhaps). See also the Chamber of Commerce and Crossville Online.
If you are vacationing on the plateau, we are connected with another land office, Bruno Gernt in Fentress County, that can provide a cabin for you and a stable for your horse . Their stables have over 100 miles of trails on 12,000 acres. There's a lot of space on the plateau.
